Welcome to the best job in the whole world! Truly, my friends, this is the sweetest thing to have the honor to be invited into families' homes and hearts to document their lives and their stories. Nine years ago, when I stepped away from teaching and into the unknown of making my love for people and their stories my "job", I couldn't have dreamed of the beauty it would bring to my life!
I am equally honored that you want to sit down with me so I can tell you about all I've learned along the way to bring me to living this dream! We can dive in to the sweet life of a lifestyle photographer who wants to pour their heart into their art and craft and run your business in a way that is genuine and allows you to connect with families as you take on the work of documenting them, and share your gift of seeing them in the most organic and lovely way!
This mentorship is for the budding to "getting close to being comfy" photographers in their first few years of business, still trying to find their sweet spots.
I remember the days of navigating a new business, battling imposter syndrome (this actually never goes away!), getting comfortable guiding a session, managing a workflow, and trying so hard to bring the visions in my heart and mind to the photographs I was creating, and overcoming the fear of opening myself up like that.
This mentorship is meant to both help you be able to do all of those things + share what I've learned about photographing families, connecting with those families and their stories, sharing work to reach families, and how to do it in a genuine, from your sweet little heart, way.
The mentorship also allows time for you to have your questions answered about anything and everything photography. I am an open book, my friends!
THE MENTORSHIP
- A 20-30 minute phone call to get to know you a little and prep for our meet up!
- One 1.5 hour face to face meeting at my studio where we will dive into all of the good, the beautiful, (and the sometimes tough) things about photography & business + open question and answer chat.
- Headshots photographed by me at our face to face meet up.
- A couple quick follow ups to check in + your very own new little cheerleader as I follow your journey!

ADD-ON: THE SESSION
- For photographers who have completed the mentorship, come along with me as I photograph a family! You'll get to hang out with us, photograph along with me as I talk to you about how I'm shooting, get the chance to guide some of the session (or not if you just want to be a fly on the wall!), and keep and edit your photos for your own portfolio!
